Rick first gave his heart to Jesus at the tender age of five under the ministry of Pastor Joe Boatwright in Winter Park, Florida. Even at that young age, he knew that God had a very special purpose for his life. During the journey of God’s unfolding plan, Rick has been privileged to still be enjoying the leadership and friendship of his first Pastor.

Being involved in volunteer ministry positions since 1980, Rick began his work in full time ministry in 1991. In October of 1993 he became the Founder and Senior Pastor of Family Christian Center in Clermont, Florida. Since that day the church has seen incredible growth under his direction.

Pastor Rick has been a member of the Ministerial Alliance of South Lake County since 1998 and has served two terms as their elected area President. This alliance is a gathering of the local pastors and ministry leaders that unite with like hearts and minds to strategize in reaching the local areas for Christ.

Pastor Rick has also traveled by request to South America, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean. His travels have included ministry to both Christian and non-Christian businesses and church leaders, as well as government officials, professional athletes and celebrity personalities.

Anyone who knows Pastor Rick can attest to his motivational gift of exhortation. His teachings are filled with encouragement and hope so that when you leave a church service, you know that God is right there with you, cheering you on to a big win!

Pastor Rick and his wife Beckee live in Clermont, Florida along with their three children - Abigail, Gabrielle and Ricky.
